5th Silk Road International Poetry and Art Festival
Silk Road: Cultural Heritage and a Bridge of Peace between the West and the East.
The United Nations World Silk Road Forum (UNWSF) and the Silk Road International Poetry Federation (SRIPF), chaired by Wang Fangwen, presented the 5th Silk Road International Poetry Festival, held in the splendid setting of the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from 23 to 30 May 2025, which saw the presence of many poets.
Over one hundred poets from Asia, Europe, Africa, America, Oceania, China and the United Arab Emirates gathered at the Dubai National Library to attend the opening of the 5th Silk Road International Poetry and Art Festival in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
The opening speech of the Festival was given by Adel Khozam, Honorary Chairman of the 5th Silk Road World Poetry Festival and a renowned poet from the United Arab Emirates.
Following the formal greetings and congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, who was chosen as the Inspirational Literary Figure for the Poets of the World Silk Road Forum, the awards ceremony was held for nearly 100 poets from five continents, including 12 winners from the UAE.
Dr. Mohammed Salem Al Mazrouei, Member of the Board of Trustees and Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, delivered a speech highlighting how the Silk Road once connected Dubai with China and how His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum deserves to be recognized as the “Inspirational Literary Figure for the Poets of the Silk Road,” as well as global recognition as a visionary leader who dedicated his life to the revival of his nation, transforming Dubai into a global platform for innovation, tolerance and cultural dialogue.
The works are now concluded, but the aftermath of a global event capable of connecting heterogeneous realities remains, a true cultural bridge capable of making different cultures dialogue.
Asthe Executive Director of RRM3, I would like to highlight that other members of my International Cultural Association RRM3-RINASCIMENTO RENAISSANCE Millennium III have been awarded.
In particular, the founder/president, prof. George Onsy (Cairo, Egypt), and the undersigned, CEO (Executive Director) of the same organization, in the person of the architect Franca Colozzo (Italy).
Besides, the European Poet of the Year Award, to the President of RRM3, Prof. George Onsy (Egypt) and the Award for the best poetry film to Franca Colozzo(Italy) with the poem: ” The Slaughter of the Innocents”.
The coveted award was given by the illustrious Chinese poet and Director of the Festival, Cao Shui, who deserves credit for having awarded many poets, also bringing prestige to our country through the awarding of prizes to other Italian translators.
Cao Shui, Vice Chair and General Secretary at UNWSF, was also awarded the BRICS Creator Order, while Adel Khozam presented Wang Fangwen with the Outstanding Contribution Award for Spreading World Silk Road Culture on behalf of the United Nations World Silk Road Forum.
Cao Shui and Wang Fangwen presented Vadim Terekhin with the Great Poetry Movement Medal.
The conference is supported and guided by the United Nations World Silk Road Forum, jointly organized by the International Poetry Committee of the United Nations World Silk Road Forum and the International Silk Road Poets Association, and co-hosted by organizations such as the BRICS Writers Association, the Great Poetry Movement and World Poets magazine.
The UAE’s most influential newspapers, such as The Union Newspaper, Dubai Newspaper and Gulf Newspaper, were cited by dozens of media outlets, including China, Egypt, Lebanon, the European Union and the United States. Dubai media also conducted special interviews with the Honorary President Adel Khozam, President Wang Fangwen and Executive President Cao Shui.
To conclude, there is no doubt that this Festival was the most coveted of the year for Poetry. We Italians are honored to have had a place of honor in such a wide-ranging international context

5° Festival Internazionale di Poesia e Arte della Via della Seta
Via della Seta: patrimonio culturale e ponte di pace tra Occidente e Oriente.
Il Forum Mondiale delle Nazioni Unite sulla Via della Seta (UNWSF) e la Silk Road International Poetry Federation (SRIPF), presieduti da Wang Fangwen, hanno presentato il 5° Silk Road International Poetry Festival, tenutosi nella splendida cornice della Biblioteca Mohammed bin Rashid, a Dubai, Emirati Arabi Uniti, dal 23 al 30 maggio 2025, che ha visto la presenza di moltissimi poeti.
Oltre cento poeti provenienti da Asia, Europa, Africa, America, Oceania, Cina ed Emirati Arabi Uniti si sono riuniti presso la Biblioteca Nazionale di Dubai per assistere all'inaugurazione del 5° Festival Internazionale di Poesia e Arte della Via della Seta a Dubai, Emirati Arabi Uniti.
Il discorso di apertura del Festival è stato a cura di Adel Khozam, Presidente Onorario del 5° Festival Mondiale di Poesia della Via della Seta e celebre poeta degli Emirati Arabi Uniti.
Dopo i saluti di rito e le congratulazioni a Sua Altezza lo Sceicco Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vicepresidente degli Emirati Arabi Uniti, Primo Ministro e Sovrano di Dubai, scelto come figura letteraria ispiratrice per i poeti del Forum Mondiale della Via della Seta, si è passati alla premiazione di quasi 100 poeti provenienti dai cinque continenti, inclusi 12 vincitori provenienti dagli Emirati Arabi Uniti.
Il Dott. Mohammed Salem Al Mazrouei, membro del Consiglio di Amministrazione e Direttore Esecutivo della Biblioteca Mohammed bin Rashid, ha tenuto un discorso mettendo in evidenza come la Via della Seta collegasse un tempo Dubai con la Cina e come vada riconosciuto a Sua Altezza lo Sceicco Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum il titolo di "Figura letteraria ispiratrice per i poeti della Via della Seta", oltre al riconoscimento globale di essere un leader visionario che ha dedicato la sua vita alla rinascita della sua nazione, trasformando Dubai in una piattaforma globale per l'innovazione, la tolleranza e il dialogo culturale.
I lavori si sono ormai conclusi, ma resta lo strascico di un evento globale in grado di collegare realtà eterogenee, un vero ponte culturale capace di far dialogare culture diverse.
In qualità di rappresentante (CEO - Chief Executive ) di RRM3, vorrei mettere in evidenza che alcuni altri membri della mia Associazione Culturale RRM3-RINASCIMENTO RENAISSANCE Millennium III sono stati premiati.
In particolare, il fondatore/presidente, prof. George Onsy (Cairo, Egitto), e la CEO (Executive Director) della stessa, nella persona dell’arch. Franca Colozzo (Italia).
Inoltre, Premio Poeta Europeo dell'Anno, al Presidente RRM3, Prof. George Onsy (Egitto), e Premio per il miglior film di poesia a Franca Colozzo (Italy) con la poesia: ” Il Massacro degli innocenti - The Slaughter of the Innocents”.
L’ambito riconoscimento è stato attribuito dall’illustre poeta cinese e Direttore del Festival, Cao Shui, a cui va il merito di aver premiato tanti poeti, dando lustro anche al nostro Paese attraverso la premiazione ad altri italiani traduttori.
Cao Shui, Vice Chairmain and General Secretary presso UNWSF, è stato, altresì, premiato con il BRICS Creator Order, mentre Adel Khozam ha consegnato a Wang Fangwen il premio Outstanding Contribution Award for Spreading World Silk Road Culture per conto del Forum Mondiale della Via della Seta delle Nazioni Unite.
Cao Shui e Wang Fangwen hanno consegnato a Vadim Terekhin la Great Poetry Movement Medal.
La conferenza è supportata e guidata dal Forum Mondiale delle Nazioni Unite sulla Via della Seta, organizzato congiuntamente dal Comitato Internazionale per la Poesia del Forum Mondiale delle Nazioni Unite sulla Via della Seta e dall'Associazione Poeti Internazionali della Via della Seta, e co-ospitata da organizzazioni come la BRICS Writers Association, il Great Poetry Movement e la rivista World Poets.
I giornali più influenti degli Emirati Arabi Uniti, come The Union Newspaper, Dubai Newspaper e Gulf Newspaper, sono stati citati da decine di testate giornalistiche, tra cui Cina, Egitto, Libano, Unione Europea e Stati Uniti. I media di Dubai hanno anche condotto interviste speciali con il Presidente Onorario Adel Khozam, la Presidente Wang Fangwen e il Presidente Esecutivo Cao Shui.
Per concludere, non c’è dubbio che questo Festival sia stato il più ambito dell’anno per la Poesia. Alcuni di noi italiani sono stati gratificati per aver avuto un posto d’onore in un contesto internazionale di così grande respiro.

Il 5° Festival Internazionale di Poesia e Arte della Via della Seta
si è svolto con successo a Dubai.
Nel pomeriggio del 27 maggio, nella regione del Golfo Persico, il cielo era terso, le nuvole erano limpide e le onde sconfinate. Oltre cento poeti provenienti da Asia, Europa, Africa, America, Oceania, Cina ed Emirati Arabi Uniti si sono riuniti presso la Biblioteca Nazionale di Dubai per assistere all'inaugurazione del 5° Festival Internazionale di Poesia e Arte della Via della Seta a Dubai, Emirati Arabi Uniti.
All'incontro hanno partecipato membri della famiglia reale di Dubai e funzionari dei dipartimenti culturali e artistici, nonché i presidenti onorari Huang Yazhou, Adel Khozam e Vadim Terekhin del 5° Festival Internazionale di Poesia e Arte della Via della Seta, il presidente del festival Wang Fangwen e il presidente esecutivo Cao Shui. Max Lu, Presidente del Forum Mondiale della Via della Seta delle Nazioni Unite, ha pronunciato un discorso video e ha conferito a Sua Altezza lo Sceicco Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vicepresidente, Primo Ministro e Sceicco di Dubai, il titolo onorifico di "Figura ispiratrice spirituale e letteraria per i poeti della Via della Seta".
Max Lu, Presidente del Forum Mondiale della Via della Seta delle Nazioni Unite, ha dichiarato:
"La Cina e gli Emirati Arabi Uniti sono due grandi Paesi sulla Via della Seta. Molti anni fa, seta, tè, porcellana e altri beni cinesi attraversavano la Via della Seta e arrivavano in Medio Oriente. I popoli cinese e arabo hanno da tempo stretto una profonda amicizia. L'odierna Dubai, sotto la saggia guida di Sua Altezza lo Sceicco Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, è diventata una delle città moderne più prospere del mondo, la città della Via della Seta e la città della poesia. La sua poesia è stata ampiamente recitata nel mondo arabo e il suo brillante amore, la sua saggezza e la sua ispirazione filosofica hanno ispirato innumerevoli anime. Il Forum Mondiale della Via della Seta delle Nazioni Unite ha deciso di conferire a Sua Altezza il titolo di "Figura ispiratrice spirituale e letteraria per i poeti della Via della Seta", che sicuramente incoraggerà più persone a impegnarsi per promuovere il grande patrimonio culturale mondiale della Via della Seta e promuovere la pace e la prosperità nel mondo! Durante l'incontro, i poeti hanno recitato poesie di Sua Altezza lo sceicco Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, tra cui "Spirito positivo", "Determinazione della gioventù", "Sento l'eco della tua voce", oltre a "Seta della Cina, il bagliore del mondo" di Huang Yazhou, "Campana di cammello lontana" di Wang Fangwen e "A Sua Altezza lo sceicco Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum" di Bian Haiyun.
ll'incontro, Huang Yazhou, Presidente Onorario del 5° Festival di Poesia della Via della Seta e Vicepresidente della 6° Associazione Scrittori Cinesi, ha tenuto un discorso:
Un incontro è una poesia, e l'incontro è la parte più lirica di una poesia. Oggi ci riuniamo a Dubai, la Città della Via della Seta, da tutto il mondo nel nome della poesia. In questa atmosfera poetica, permettetemi di porgere le mie più sentite congratulazioni per l'inaugurazione del 5° Festival Internazionale di Poesia e Arte della Via della Seta e i miei più sinceri saluti agli amici poeti di tutto il mondo.
Il Libro dei Cantici, compilato personalmente dal grande filosofo cinese Confucio, ha una storia di oltre 2500 anni. La poesia è un gene culturale profondamente radicato nel sangue della nostra nazione; anche nell'affascinante città di Dubai, negli Emirati Arabi Uniti, la poesia è un tesoro che scorre nel sangue nazionale.
Sappiamo che nell'antichità la letteratura nella Penisola Arabica veniva tramandata principalmente attraverso la recitazione orale. La poesia nabatea e le ballate narrative beduine costituiscono l'essenza della poesia tradizionale degli Emirati Arabi Uniti, registrando i diversi stili di vita dei residenti tribali ed ereditando la memoria e lo spirito della nazione. Nel XIX secolo, influenzata dalla rinascita della letteratura araba, la letteratura degli Emirati Arabi Uniti divenne sempre più diversificata nelle forme e unica nello stile. In questa terra magica, numerosi poeti eccezionali sono stati cresciuti, con stelle scintillanti. Di grande fascino. Ad esempio, Habib Saiig, noto come il "pioniere della poesia moderna nel Golfo", ha creato dieci raccolte di poesie nel corso della sua vita, con tecniche innovative e ritmi meravigliosi; ad esempio, Ousha bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi, considerata la "pioniera della poesia nabatea", è conosciuta come la "ragazza araba" e la "luna della poesia degli Emirati Arabi Uniti". Il suo ritmo poetico ci inebria; Ad esempio, oggi lo sceicco Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, sovrano di Dubai, non solo conduce Dubai alla gloria in campo politico ed economico, trasformandola da una città nel deserto in una moderna metropoli internazionale di fama mondiale, ma svolge anche un ruolo importante in campo culturale e artistico sotto l'influenza di un poeta eccezionale. Ciò che mi ha colpito di più è stata la sua poesia patriottica intitolata "Giorni di una nazione", in cui ha scritto il seguente verso: "La nostra vita potrebbe non durare cent'anni, ma la nostra creatività può lasciare un'eredità duratura dopo la nostra morte". I versi tra i versi sono pieni di amore per il Paese e di comprensione della natura umana. Amici, oltre duemila.
Anni fa, la grande Via della Seta ci collegava a Dubai. Pertanto, quando parliamo dell'antico poema arabo Nabatei, le persone di questa terra potrebbero essere sorprese di sentire parlare anche di Li Bai, Du Fu e della poesia della dinastia Tang.
In effetti, la poesia ci permette di avere una connessione telepatica tra noi, più di duemila anni fa e ancora di più oggi. Quando si tratta di poesia, le nostre mani si uniscono, i nostri cuori si fondono e la colomba, simbolo di pace e amicizia, vola via dai nostri piedi.
Infine, ringraziamo sinceramente gli Emirati Arabi Uniti per l'impegno profuso nell'ospitare questo festival di poesia. Auguriamo al Silk Road International Poetry Festival di quest'anno un pieno successo e che la grande e toccante poesia di Dubai possa risuonare nei nostri cuori non solo oggi, ma anche negli innumerevoli giorni a venire.

Siamo orgogliosi di ospitare opere letterarie, filosofiche, artistiche e storiche cinesi, risorse che servono una crescente comunità di studenti di cinese in tutti gli Emirati Arabi Uniti, da università e istituti a scuole e centri culturali.
Il "Chinese Book Corner" è diventato una finestra aperta su una civiltà che abbraccia migliaia di anni e un potente strumento per rafforzare la comprensione culturale tra il popolo emiratino e quello cinese. Vi ringraziamo di cuore per la vostra generosa donazione di ulteriori pubblicazioni, che arricchiranno senza dubbio questa collezione e sosterranno la nostra convinzione comune che lo scambio culturale sia fondamentale per costruire un futuro globale più pacifico e cooperativo. Innanzitutto, vorrei porgere le mie più sentite congratulazioni a Sua Altezza lo Sceicco Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vicepresidente degli Emirati Arabi Uniti, Primo Ministro e Sovrano di Dubai, che Dio lo protegga, per essere stato scelto come figura letteraria ispiratrice per i poeti del Forum Mondiale della Via della Seta. Questo è un grande onore per tutti i poeti del forum in tutto il mondo e un tributo a tutti i partecipanti all'edizione di quest'anno del festival, che ha visto la premiazione di quasi 100 poeti provenienti dai cinque continenti, inclusi 12 vincitori provenienti dagli Emirati Arabi Uniti.

Caro pubblico,
Oggi ci troviamo al cospetto della poesia e al cospetto di una città diversa da qualsiasi altra, una città che assomiglia a una poesia senza fine.
Ci riuniamo sulla soglia del significato, in questo eccezionale edificio culturale – la Biblioteca Mohammed bin Rashid – per celebrare ciò che va oltre le parole: per onorare la visione di un uomo straordinario che ha plasmato una città che si è elevata al livello della poesia.
Parlare di Sua Altezza lo sceicco Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum non significa semplicemente raccontare la biografia di un poeta ispiratore, ma contemplare un fenomeno globale che potrebbe non ripetersi mai più. È un uomo dalla visione globale, che riempie ogni vuoto di luce e amore. In questa visione, Sua Altezza appare come uno statista di altissimo livello, che lavora al fianco di suo fratello, Sua Altezza lo sceicco Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Presidente degli Emirati Arabi Uniti, per posizionare il Paese come un
simbolo di bontà, pace e dignità umana.
È anche un uomo sicuro, con un cuore da poeta. Ha trasformato Dubai in un'oasi di sicurezza senza pari, rendendola una delle città più sicure al mondo. Dove c'è sicurezza, la creatività fiorisce e la poesia rivela le sue forme più belle.
Ed è un uomo di economia, che ha trasformato Dubai in una capitale economica globale, una città del futuro e una terra per sognatori dell'innovazione e del rinnovamento. La creatività ha bisogno di un terreno fertile per prosperare, e Sua Altezza ha fornito un ambiente così ricco.
Questa visione è completata dall'incredibile profondità culturale che vediamo nella sua poesia, parole che hanno permeato la sua leadership di un'aura nobile. Il suo spirito poetico ha plasmato Dubai stessa; vediamo la poesia nella sua architettura, ne sentiamo il ritmo nelle strade e ammiriamo la sua creatività immaginaria nei dettagli quotidiani.
Sua Altezza ci ha ispirato con poesie che parlano alla coscienza umana, pulsando di lealtà, saggezza e apertura. Le sue parole hanno trovato eco in migliaia di poeti nel Golfo e nel mondo arabo. Oggi, le sue poesie ispirano poeti di ogni continente e cultura, giunti a Dubai per riunirsi sotto la bandiera della poesia, nello spirito della Via della Seta.
Celebriamo oggi in una biblioteca che porta il nome di questo leader: la Biblioteca Mohammed bin Rashid. Non è solo un edificio, ma una delle decine di iniziative culturali istituite da Sua Altezza per servire la coscienza umana, radicare l'abitudine alla lettura, onorare il talento arabo e diffondere la speranza ovunque.
A Dubai, cultura ed economia sono integrate e la poesia si allinea con la visione. Ci troviamo di fronte a un modello di civiltà unico, in cui la città appare come un sogno emiratino, radicato nel patrimonio arabo, esteso a livello globale ed espresso poeticamente.
Questa è Dubai. Questo è Mohammed bin Rashid. Questa è poesia quando si trasforma in civiltà.

La Via della Seta è un patrimonio culturale comune dell'umanità in tutto il mondo, che funge da collegamento tra le civiltà orientale e occidentale. Non solo favorisce la circolazione delle merci, ma trasmette anche l'integrazione delle culture orientale e occidentale e la risonanza dell'anima. La poesia, come il fiore più bello dell'anima umana, ha sempre accompagnato le orme della Via della Seta e ha brillato luminosa nel lungo fiume della storia. Dall'antica Chang'an alla prospera Dubai, dal vasto deserto al mare blu, la poesia ha sempre testimoniato gli stili di vita, il patrimonio culturale e la ricerca spirituale delle popolazioni dei paesi lungo la Via della Seta. Innumerevoli poeti nel corso della storia hanno usato il loro talento e la loro ispirazione per comporre capitoli toccanti, registrando il ritmo dei tempi e l'ispirazione dell'umanità. La Via della Seta è la via della poesia più lunga del mondo.
In passato, abbiamo organizzato quattro edizioni del Silk Road International Poetry Festival, tenutesi in Spagna, Russia e Xi'an. Insieme, abbiamo apprezzato le splendide poesie di numerosi poeti provenienti da cinque continenti, percepito la potente potenza della poesia al di là delle lingue, dei confini nazionali e delle differenze culturali, e abbiamo anche sperimentato la pura e meravigliosa amicizia tra poeti di diversi paesi.

Gli uomini smisero di costruirla perché non riuscivano a comunicare e si dispersero in tutto il mondo, diventando più di duemila gruppi etnici. Veniamo dallo stesso posto e alla fine arriveremo allo stesso posto. Questo è anche il tema della mia "Epopea dell'Eurasia" e, naturalmente, è anche il tema di Manseerah, "Epopea dell'Umanità", creata da Adel Khozam, che ha organizzato 86 artisti famosi da tutto il mondo. On the afternoon of May 27th, in the Persian Gulf region, the sky was high and the clouds were clear, and the waves were boundless.More than a hundred poets from Asia, Europe, Africa, America, Oceania, China and the United Arab Emirates gathered at the Dubai National Library to witness the opening of the 5th Silk Road International Poetry and Art Festival in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Meeting is a poem, and meeting is the most lyrical part of a poem. Today, we gather in Dubai, the Silk Road City, from all over the world in the name of poetry. In this poetic atmosphere, please allow me to extend warm congratulations on the grand opening of the 5th Silk Road International Poetry and Art Festival and sincere greetings to poet friends from all over the world.
The Book of Songs, which was personally compiled by the great Chinese philosopher Confucius, has a history of over 2500 years. Poetry is a cultural gene deeply rooted in the bloodline of our nation; In the charming city of Dubai, UAE, poetry is also a treasure flowing in the national blood.
We know that in ancient times, literature in the Arabian Peninsula was mainly passed down through oral recitation. Nabati poetry and Bedouin narrative ballads constitute the essence of traditional poetry in the United Arab Emirates, recording the various lifestyles of tribal residents and inheriting the memory and spirit of the nation. In the 19th century, influenced by the revival of Arab literature, UAE literature became increasingly diverse in form and unique in style. On this magical land, numerous outstanding poets have been nurtured, with twinkling stars,. Very charming. For example, Habib Saiig, known as the "pioneer of modern poetry in the Gulf," created ten poetry collections throughout his life, with innovative techniques and beautiful rhythms; For example, Ousha bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi, regarded as the "pioneer of Nabati poetry", is known as the "Arab girl" and the "moon of UAE poetry". Her poetic rhythm intoxicates us; For example, today, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, not only leads Dubai to glory in the political and economic fields, transforming it from a desert town into a globally renowned modern international metropolis, but also plays an important role in the cultural and artistic fields under the influence of an outstanding poet. What impressed me the most was his patriotic poem titled "Days of a Nation", in which he wrote the following line: "Our lifespan may not last a hundred years, but our creativity can leave a lasting legacy after our death." The lines between the lines are filled with love for the country and understanding of human nature.
Friends, over two thousand years ago, the great Silk Road connected us with Dubai. Therefore, when we talk about the ancient Arab poem Nabati, the cultural people in this land may also be surprised to talk about Li Bai, Du Fu, and Tang Dynasty poetry.
Indeed, poetry allows us to have a telepathic connection with each other, more than two thousand years ago and even more so now. When it comes to poetry, our hands come together, our hearts melt together, and the dove symbolizing peace and friendship flies up from our feet.

This is a great honor for all forum poets around the globe and a tribute to all participants in this year’s edition of the festival, which has seen the awards extended to nearly 100 poets from across the five continents, including 12 winners from the UAE.

Today, we stand in the presence of poetry, and in the presence of a city unlike any other—a city that resembles an unending poem.
We gather on the threshold of meaning, in this exceptional cultural edifice—Mohammed bin Rashid Library—to celebrate what lies beyond words: to honor the vision of an extraordinary man who shaped a city that rose to the level of poetry.
Speaking about His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is not merely recounting the biography of an inspiring poet—it is a contemplation of a global phenomenon that may never recur.
He is a man of comprehensive vision, who fills every void with light and love.
In this vision, His Highness appears as a statesman of the highest order, working alongside his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to position the country as a beacon of goodness, peace, and human dignity.

Today, his poems inspire poets from every continent and culture, who have come to Dubai to gather under the banner of poetry, in the spirit of the Silk Road.
We are celebrating today in a library that bears the name of this leader—Mohammed bin Rashid Library. It is not just a building, but one of dozens of cultural initiatives established by His Highness to serve human consciousness, embed the habit of reading, honor Arab talent, and spread hope everywhere.
In Dubai, culture and economy are integrated, and poetry aligns with vision. We stand before a unique model of civilization where the city appears as an Emirati dream—rooted in Arab heritage, extending globally, and expressed poetically.

In this beautiful season of blooming phoenix flowers, we cross mountains and rivers from all over the world, gathering in the dazzling Silk Road city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to celebrate the grand opening of the 5th Silk Road International Poetry Festival. On behalf of the International Poetry Committee of the United Nations World Silk Road Forum and the International Federation of Silk Road Poets, I extend our warmest welcome and warm greetings to every friend present at the event! And we would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the Dubai Royal Office, the National Department of Culture and Arts, and the poet friends who have provided strong support for this poetry festival event!
The Silk Road is a common cultural heritage of humanity around the world, serving as a link between Eastern and Western civilizations. It not only carries the circulation of goods, but also conveys the integration of Eastern and Western cultures and the resonance of the soul. Poetry, as the most beautiful flower in the human soul, has always accompanied the footsteps of the Silk Road and shone brightly in the long river of history. From our ancient Chang'an to the prosperous Dubai, from the vast desert to the blue sea, poetry has always witnessed the life styles, cultural heritage and spiritual pursuit of the people of the countries along the Silk Road. Countless poets throughout history have used their talents and inspirations to compose touching chapters, recording the pulse of the times and the inspiration of humanity. The Silk Road is the longest road of poetry in the world.
In the past, we held four sessions of the Silk Road International Poetry Festival, held in Spain, Russia, and Xi'an. Together, we enjoyed the beautiful poems of many poets from five continents, felt the powerful power of poetry across language, national borders, and cultural differences, and also experienced the pure and beautiful friendship between poets from different countries.
Every Silk Road International Poetry and Art Festival, we carefully select a Silk Road city with profound cultural heritage as the venue. This year, we have focused our attention on Dubai. Dubai, this dazzling pearl located in West Asia, serves as the city in the middle of the Silk Road, Under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, it has developed into a modern international metropolis. What's even more rare is that His Highness himself is a great poet, and his works have a profound influence and powerful appeal in the Arab world, China, and even the world. We are familiar with his famous sayings, such as "The desert is a school." or "Innovation is not a luxury, it is the secret to the rejuvenation of a country and a nation. This also adds a unique cultural charm to our fifth poetry festival.
Today, following the camel bell ringing from the west gate of Chang'an and listening to the call of the Persian Gulf sea breeze, poets, scholars, reciters, and calligraphers and painters from five continents of the world gathered in the heart of Europe, Asia, and Africa - Dubai. This is not only an important node on the ancient Silk Road, but also a magnificent stage for the collision of Eastern and Western cultures. When I was a child, I fantasized about traveling from Chang'an in Asia to Rome in Europe along the ancient Silk Road, passing through Arabia because it was once the center of the world. Today my dream came true, I met everyone in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Before arriving in Dubai, I had imagined the Burj Khalifa, and I had written poems for this modern Tower of Babel multiple times. We all know the story of the Tower of Babel. When people came to build the Tower of Babel, God knew that and disrupted their language. People stopped building it because they couldn't communicate, and they dispersed around the world, becoming more than two thousand ethnic groups. We come from the same place, and we will eventually come to the same place. This is also the theme of my "Epic of Eurasia", and of course, it is also the theme of Manseerah, "Epic of Humanity" created by Adel Khozam, who organized 86 famous artists from around the world. He coordinated our participation, selected the poems, nominated the winners from the United Arab Emirates, and prepared the cultural materials about the UAE for the World Poets magazine.
With his support, I translated three poems and the articles dedicated to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the inspiring figure for the Poets of the Silk Road. I was profoundly moved by His Highness’s poetry, As he wrote in 'I Hear the Echo of Your Voice': And I go astray in a desert with no destination, And I go astray in a world mysterious，and for that reason, I hope to translate his complete collection Poems from the Desert into Chinese.
Today's world is a globalized world, and Arab civilization originated from the ancient Babylonian civilization. There were once seven major civilizations on the Eurasian continent, from Babylon, westward to Canaan, Egypt, Greece, eastward to Persia, India, and China. We must break out of our own civilization and integrate into a new world civilization. Today under the Burj, the tallest building in the world, the modern Tower of Babel, we should believe that humanity originated from the same place and will inevitably move towards the same place.
At the meeting, outstanding poets from five continents were awarded the Poet Laureate Award, Golden Camel Award, Silver Camel Award, Poetry Film Award, Poetry Collection Award, Translation Award, Asian Poet of the Year Award, European Poet of the Year Award, African Poet of the Year Award, American Poet of the Year Award, Oceania Poet of the Year Award and other poetry awards. Poets and artists also presented books and calligraphy, painting, photography and other works to the Dubai Mohammed Bin Rashid Library.
New Zealand poet Pei Yingjin, who won the Golden Camel Award this year, delivered a speech on behalf of all the award-winning poets: It is a great honor to stand on the podium. This award is not only for me personally, but also for those who silently cultivate and love poetry. They contribute to poetry and are willing to do a lot of work both on and off stage to promote it. The Silk Road began in the Han Dynasty of China, stretching from land to sea and then to the grasslands, where the country prospered. People exchange not only goods, but also cultural customs, understanding, and integration. Today, we must uphold the spirit of the ancient Silk Road, make friends through literature, promote global unity, and maintain peace. Today we gather in the dazzling Dubai, and next year we gather in another shining city on the Silk Road!
At the Chinese Book Corner of the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, everyone was pleasantly surprised to discover the "Silk Road Far Away" series donated by Chinese poets during this poetry festival, as well as over a hundred poetry collections, novels, and more.
At the meeting, Vadim Terekhin, Chairman of the BRICS Writers Association, presented the BRICS Creator Order to Cao Shui, while Adel Khozam presented the Outstanding Contribution Award for Spreading World Silk Road Culture to Wang Fangwen on behalf of the United Nations World Silk Road Forum. Cao Shui and Wang Fangwen presented the Great Poetry Movement Medal to Vadim Terekhin.
The conference is supported and guided by the United Nations World Silk Road Forum, jointly organized by the International Poetry Committee of the United Nations World Silk Road Forum and the International Poets of the Silk Road, and co hosted by organizations such as the BRICS Writers Association, the Great Poetry Movement, and the World Poets magazine.
The most influential newspapers in the United Arab Emirates, such as The Union Newspaper, Dubai Newspaper, and Gulf Newspaper, have been reported by dozens of media outlets including China, Egypt, Lebanon, the European Union, and the United States.Dubai media also conducted special interviews with Honorary Chairman Adel Khozam, Chairman Ms. Wang Fangwen, and Executive Chairman Cao Shui.

Il 5° Festival Internazionale di Poesia e Arte della Via della Seta
si è svolto con successo a Dubai-
Nel pomeriggio del 27 maggio, nella regione del Golfo Persico, il cielo era alto, le nuvole erano limpide e le onde sconfinate. Oltre cento poeti provenienti da Asia, Europa, Africa, America, Oceania, Cina ed Emirati Arabi Uniti si sono riuniti presso la Biblioteca Nazionale di Dubai per assistere all'inaugurazione del 5° Festival Internazionale di Poesia e Arte della Via della Seta a Dubai, Emirati Arabi Uniti.
All'incontro hanno partecipato membri della famiglia reale di Dubai e funzionari dei dipartimenti culturali e artistici, nonché i presidenti onorari Huang Yazhou, Adel Khozam e Vadim Terekhin del 5° Festival Internazionale di Poesia e Arte della Via della Seta, il presidente del festival Wang Fangwen e il presidente esecutivo Cao Shui. Max Lu, Presidente del Forum Mondiale della Via della Seta delle Nazioni Unite, ha pronunciato un discorso video e ha conferito a Sua Altezza lo Sceicco Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vicepresidente, Primo Ministro e Sceicco di Dubai, il titolo onorifico di "Figura ispiratrice spirituale e letteraria per i poeti della Via della Seta".
Max Lu, Presidente del Forum Mondiale della Via della Seta delle Nazioni Unite, ha dichiarato:
"La Cina e gli Emirati Arabi Uniti sono due grandi Paesi sulla Via della Seta. Molti anni fa, seta, tè, porcellana e altri beni cinesi attraversavano la Via della Seta e arrivavano in Medio Oriente. I popoli cinese e arabo hanno da tempo stretto una profonda amicizia. L'odierna Dubai, sotto la saggia guida di Sua Altezza lo Sceicco Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, è diventata una delle città moderne più prospere del mondo, la città della Via della Seta e la città della poesia. La sua poesia è stata ampiamente recitata nel mondo arabo e il suo brillante amore, la sua saggezza e la sua ispirazione filosofica hanno ispirato innumerevoli anime. ll'incontro, Huang Yazhou, Presidente Onorario del 5° Festival di Poesia della Via della Seta e Vicepresidente della 6° Associazione Scrittori Cinesi, ha tenuto un discorso:
Un incontro è una poesia, e l'incontro è la parte più lirica di una poesia. Oggi ci riuniamo a Dubai, la Città della Via della Seta, da tutto il mondo nel nome della poesia. In questa atmosfera poetica, permettetemi di porgere le mie più sentite congratulazioni per l'inaugurazione del 5° Festival Internazionale di Poesia e Arte della Via della Seta e i miei più sinceri saluti agli amici poeti di tutto il mondo.
Il Libro dei Cantici, compilato personalmente dal grande filosofo cinese Confucio, ha una storia di oltre 2500 anni. La poesia è un gene culturale profondamente radicato nel sangue della nostra nazione; anche nell'affascinante città di Dubai, negli Emirati Arabi Uniti, la poesia è un tesoro che scorre nel sangue nazionale.
Sappiamo che nell'antichità la letteratura nella Penisola Arabica veniva tramandata principalmente attraverso la recitazione orale. La poesia nabatea e le ballate narrative beduine costituiscono l'essenza della poesia tradizionale degli Emirati Arabi Uniti, registrando i diversi stili di vita dei residenti tribali ed ereditando la memoria e lo spirito della nazione. Nel XIX secolo, influenzata dalla rinascita della letteratura araba, la letteratura degli Emirati Arabi Uniti divenne sempre più diversificata nelle forme e unica nello stile. In questa terra magica, numerosi poeti eccezionali sono stati cresciuti, con stelle scintillanti. Di grande fascino. Ad esempio, Habib Saiig, noto come il "pioniere della poesia moderna nel Golfo", ha creato dieci raccolte di poesie nel corso della sua vita, con tecniche innovative e ritmi meravigliosi; ad esempio, Ousha bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi, considerata la "pioniera della poesia nabatea", è conosciuta come la "ragazza araba" e la "luna della poesia degli Emirati Arabi Uniti". I versi tra i versi sono pieni di amore per il Paese e di comprensione della natura umana. Amici, oltre duemila.
Anni fa, la grande Via della Seta ci collegava a Dubai. Pertanto, quando parliamo dell'antico poema arabo Nabatei, le persone di questa terra potrebbero essere sorprese di sentire parlare anche di Li Bai, Du Fu e della poesia della dinastia Tang.
In effetti, la poesia ci permette di avere una connessione telepatica tra noi, più di duemila anni fa e ancora di più oggi. Quando si tratta di poesia, le nostre mani si uniscono, i nostri cuori si fondono e la colomba, simbolo di pace e amicizia, vola via dai nostri piedi.
Infine, ringraziamo sinceramente gli Emirati Arabi Uniti per l'impegno profuso nell'ospitare questo festival di poesia. Auguriamo al Silk Road International Poetry Festival di quest'anno un pieno successo e che la grande e toccante poesia di Dubai possa risuonare nei nostri cuori non solo oggi, ma anche negli innumerevoli giorni a venire.

Innanzitutto, vorrei porgere le mie più sentite congratulazioni a Sua Altezza lo Sceicco Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vicepresidente degli Emirati Arabi Uniti, Primo Ministro e Sovrano di Dubai, che Dio lo protegga, per essere stato scelto come figura letteraria ispiratrice per i poeti del Forum Mondiale della Via della Seta. Celebriamo oggi in una biblioteca che porta il nome di questo leader: la Biblioteca Mohammed bin Rashid. Non è solo un edificio, ma una delle decine di iniziative culturali istituite da Sua Altezza per servire la coscienza umana, radicare l'abitudine alla lettura, onorare il talento arabo e diffondere la speranza ovunque.
A Dubai, cultura ed economia sono integrate e la poesia si allinea con la visione. Ci troviamo di fronte a un modello di civiltà unico, in cui la città appare come un sogno emiratino, radicato nel patrimonio arabo, esteso a livello globale ed espresso poeticamente.
Questa è Dubai. Questo è Mohammed bin Rashid. Questa è poesia quando si trasforma in civiltà.

Il quinto Silk Road International Poetry Festival, con il forte sostegno di Dubai, città ospitante, è una festa per la poesia, un dialogo culturale e uno scontro di cuori. Poeti e appassionati di poesia provenienti da tutto il mondo portano con sé stili linguistici, concetti creativi e background culturali diversi. Ho sempre creduto che la poesia possa essere interconnessa, proprio come si intrecciano le linee di longitudine e latitudine del mondo. Non vediamo l'ora di sperimentare il calore e la potenza della poesia in ogni centimetro della città durante questo indimenticabile Dubai Poetry Festival, attraverso scambi con poeti degli Emirati Arabi Uniti e di altri paesi. Credo che quando il ritmo della poesia risuona con il chiaro di luna in cima alla Dubai Tower, e quando le pennellate del poeta risuonano con le onde del Golfo Persico, tutti sicuramente esploderanno spiritualmente e la poesia sarà come una sorgente zampillante. Da bambino, fantasticavo di viaggiare da Chang'an, in Asia, a Roma, in Europa, lungo l'antica Via della Seta, passando per l'Arabia, perché un tempo era il centro del mondo. Oggi il mio sogno si è avverato: ho incontrato tutti a Dubai, negli Emirati Arabi Uniti.
Prima di arrivare a Dubai, avevo immaginato il Burj Khalifa e avevo scritto poesie per questa moderna Torre di Babele più volte. Conosciamo tutti la storia della Torre di Babele. Quando gli uomini vennero a costruire la Torre di Babele, Dio lo sapeva e sconvolse la loro lingua. Gli uomini smisero di costruirla perché non riuscivano a comunicare e si dispersero in tutto il mondo, diventando più di duemila gruppi etnici. Veniamo dallo stesso posto e alla fine arriveremo allo stesso posto. Questo è anche il tema della mia "Epopea dell'Eurasia" e, naturalmente, è anche il tema di Manseerah, "Epopea dell'Umanità", creata da Adel Khozam, che ha organizzato 86 artisti famosi da tutto il mondo. Lui ha creato l'inizio di questa poesia e io la conclusione. Nella seconda parte, lo racconteremo a tutti. Un tempo esistevano sette grandi civiltà nel continente eurasiatico, da Babilonia, a ovest fino a Canaan, Egitto, Grecia, a est fino a Persia, India e Cina. Dobbiamo uscire dalla nostra civiltà e integrarci in una nuova civiltà mondiale. Oggi, sotto il Burj Khalifa, l'edificio più alto del mondo, la moderna Torre di Babele, dovremmo credere che l'umanità abbia avuto origine dallo stesso luogo e che inevitabilmente si muoverà verso lo stesso luogo. All'incontro sono stati premiati poeti di fama provenienti dai cinque continenti
Ha ricevuto il Poet Laureate Award, il Golden Camel Award, il Silver Camel Award, il Poetry Film Award, il Poetry Collection Award, il Translation Award, il Asian Poet of the Year Award, il European Poet of the Year Award, il African Poet of the Year Award, il American Poet of the Year Award, il Oceania Poet of the Year Award e altri premi di poesia. Poeti e artisti hanno inoltre presentato libri e opere di calligrafia, pittura, fotografia e altre opere alla Biblioteca Mohammed Bin Rashid di Dubai.
Il poeta neozelandese Pei Yingjin, vincitore quest'anno del Golden Camel Award, ha pronunciato un discorso a nome di tutti i poeti premiati: È un grande onore salire sul podio. Questo premio non è solo per me personalmente, ma anche per coloro che coltivano e amano silenziosamente la poesia. Contribuiscono alla poesia e sono disposti a impegnarsi molto, sia sul palco che fuori, per promuoverla. La Via della Seta ebbe inizio durante la dinastia Han in Cina, estendendosi dalla terraferma al mare e poi alle praterie, dove il paese prosperò. Al Chinese Book Corner della Biblioteca Mohammed bin Rashid, tutti sono rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi nello scoprire la collana "Silk Road Far Away" donata dai poeti cinesi durante questo festival di poesia, oltre a oltre un centinaio di raccolte di poesie, romanzi e altro ancora.

On the afternoon of May 27th, in the Persian Gulf region, the sky was high and the clouds were clear, and the waves were boundless.More than a hundred poets from Asia, Europe, Africa, America, Oceania, China and the United Arab Emirates gathered at the Dubai National Library to witness the opening of the 5th Silk Road International Poetry and Art Festival in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Meeting is a poem, and meeting is the most lyrical part of a poem. Today, we gather in Dubai, the Silk Road City, from all over the world in the name of poetry. In this poetic atmosphere, please allow me to extend warm congratulations on the grand opening of the 5th Silk Road International Poetry and Art Festival and sincere greetings to poet friends from all over the world.
The Book of Songs, which was personally compiled by the great Chinese philosopher Confucius, has a history of over 2500 years. Poetry is a cultural gene deeply rooted in the bloodline of our nation; In the charming city of Dubai, UAE, poetry is also a treasure flowing in the national blood.
We know that in ancient times, literature in the Arabian Peninsula was mainly passed down through oral recitation. Nabati poetry and Bedouin narrative ballads constitute the essence of traditional poetry in the United Arab Emirates, recording the various lifestyles of tribal residents and inheriting the memory and spirit of the nation. In the 19th century, influenced by the revival of Arab literature, UAE literature became increasingly diverse in form and unique in style. On this magical land, numerous outstanding poets have been nurtured, with twinkling stars,. Very charming. For example, Habib Saiig, known as the "pioneer of modern poetry in the Gulf," created ten poetry collections throughout his life, with innovative techniques and beautiful rhythms; For example, Ousha bint Khalifa Al Suwaidi, regarded as the "pioneer of Nabati poetry", is known as the "Arab girl" and the "moon of UAE poetry". Her poetic rhythm intoxicates us; For example, today, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, not only leads Dubai to glory in the political and economic fields, transforming it from a desert town into a globally renowned modern international metropolis, but also plays an important role in the cultural and artistic fields under the influence of an outstanding poet. What impressed me the most was his patriotic poem titled "Days of a Nation", in which he wrote the following line: "Our lifespan may not last a hundred years, but our creativity can leave a lasting legacy after our death." The lines between the lines are filled with love for the country and understanding of human nature.
Friends, over two thousand years ago, the great Silk Road connected us with Dubai. Therefore, when we talk about the ancient Arab poem Nabati, the cultural people in this land may also be surprised to talk about Li Bai, Du Fu, and Tang Dynasty poetry.
Indeed, poetry allows us to have a telepathic connection with each other, more than two thousand years ago and even more so now. When it comes to poetry, our hands come together, our hearts melt together, and the dove symbolizing peace and friendship flies up from our feet.
Finally, let us sincerely thank the UAE host for their efforts in hosting this poetry festival. We wish this year's Silk Road International Poetry Festival a complete success, and may Dubai's great and moving poem not only play in our hearts today, but also in countless days to come.

This is a great honor for all forum poets around the globe and a tribute to all participants in this year’s edition of the festival, which has seen the awards extended to nearly 100 poets from across the five continents, including 12 winners from the UAE.

Speaking about His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is not merely recounting the biography of an inspiring poet—it is a contemplation of a global phenomenon that may never recur.
He is a man of comprehensive vision, who fills every void with light and love.
In this vision, His Highness appears as a statesman of the highest order, working alongside his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to position the country as a beacon of goodness, peace, and human dignity.

We are celebrating today in a library that bears the name of this leader—Mohammed bin Rashid Library. It is not just a building, but one of dozens of cultural initiatives established by His Highness to serve human consciousness, embed the habit of reading, honor Arab talent, and spread hope everywhere.
In Dubai, culture and economy are integrated, and poetry aligns with vision. We stand before a unique model of civilization where the city appears as an Emirati dream—rooted in Arab heritage, extending globally, and expressed poetically.

In this beautiful season of blooming phoenix flowers, we cross mountains and rivers from all over the world, gathering in the dazzling Silk Road city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to celebrate the grand opening of the 5th Silk Road International Poetry Festival. On behalf of the International Poetry Committee of the United Nations World Silk Road Forum and the International Federation of Silk Road Poets, I extend our warmest welcome and warm greetings to every friend present at the event! And we would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the Dubai Royal Office, the National Department of Culture and Arts, and the poet friends who have provided strong support for this poetry festival event!
The Silk Road is a common cultural heritage of humanity around the world, serving as a link between Eastern and Western civilizations. It not only carries the circulation of goods, but also conveys the integration of Eastern and Western cultures and the resonance of the soul. Poetry, as the most beautiful flower in the human soul, has always accompanied the footsteps of the Silk Road and shone brightly in the long river of history. From our ancient Chang'an to the prosperous Dubai, from the vast desert to the blue sea, poetry has always witnessed the life styles, cultural heritage and spiritual pursuit of the people of the countries along the Silk Road. Countless poets throughout history have used their talents and inspirations to compose touching chapters, recording the pulse of the times and the inspiration of humanity. The Silk Road is the longest road of poetry in the world.
In the past, we held four sessions of the Silk Road International Poetry Festival, held in Spain, Russia, and Xi'an. Together, we enjoyed the beautiful poems of many poets from five continents, felt the powerful power of poetry across language, national borders, and cultural differences, and also experienced the pure and beautiful friendship between poets from different countries.
Every Silk Road International Poetry and Art Festival, we carefully select a Silk Road city with profound cultural heritage as the venue. This year, we have focused our attention on Dubai. Dubai, this dazzling pearl located in West Asia, serves as the city in the middle of the Silk Road, Under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, it has developed into a modern international metropolis. What's even more rare is that His Highness himself is a great poet, and his works have a profound influence and powerful appeal in the Arab world, China, and even the world. We are familiar with his famous sayings, such as "The desert is a school." or "Innovation is not a luxury, it is the secret to the rejuvenation of a country and a nation. This also adds a unique cultural charm to our fifth poetry festival.
Today, following the camel bell ringing from the west gate of Chang'an and listening to the call of the Persian Gulf sea breeze, poets, scholars, reciters, and calligraphers and painters from five continents of the world gathered in the heart of Europe, Asia, and Africa - Dubai. This is not only an important node on the ancient Silk Road, but also a magnificent stage for the collision of Eastern and Western cultures. Let us take poetry as a boat, crossing thousands of years of time, in the hometown of 'One Thousand and One Nights', listening to each other's deep soul lamentations; With words as wings, crossing thousands of miles of stars, sharing the passion and emotion of poetry creation on this land that integrates world civilization.
The 5th Silk Road International Poetry Festival, with the strong support of the host Dubai, is a feast for poetry, a cultural dialogue, and a collision of hearts. Poets and poetry enthusiasts from all over the world bring different language styles, creative concepts, and cultural backgrounds. I have always believed that poetry can be connected, just like the world's longitude and latitude lines intertwine. We look forward to experiencing the warmth and power of poetry in every inch of the city during this unforgettable Dubai Poetry Festival, through exchanges with poets from the UAE and other countries. I believe that when the rhythm of poetry resonates with the moonlight at the top of Dubai Tower, and when the poet's brushstrokes resonate with the waves of the Persian Gulf, everyone will surely burst out spiritually, and poetry will be like a gushing spring. Let us weave the silk road brocade of the new era together with poetic lines, and let the spark of art illuminate the path forward for a community with a shared future for mankind!

Cao Shui, Executive Chairman of the 5th Silk Road International Poets Federation and China Coordinator of the BRICS Writers Association, delivered a speech:
When I was a child, I fantasized about traveling from Chang'an in Asia to Rome in Europe along the ancient Silk Road, passing through Arabia because it was once the center of the world. Today my dream came true, I met everyone in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Before arriving in Dubai, I had imagined the Burj Khalifa, and I had written poems for this modern Tower of Babel multiple times. We all know the story of the Tower of Babel. When people came to build the Tower of Babel, God knew that and disrupted their language. People stopped building it because they couldn't communicate, and they dispersed around the world, becoming more than two thousand ethnic groups. We come from the same place, and we will eventually come to the same place. This is also the theme of my "Epic of Eurasia", and of course, it is also the theme of Manseerah, "Epic of Humanity" created by Adel Khozam, who organized 86 famous artists from around the world. He created the beginning of this poem, and I created the end. In the second half, we will tell everyone. This is also the core proposition of the Great Poetry Movement that I advocate, which integrates ancient and modern cultures, integrates East and West cultures, and integrates sacred and secular cultures.
I would like to deeply thank my friend, the poet Adel Khozam, the Honorary President and partner of this year’s festival edition, who made exceptional efforts to ensure the festival’s success. He coordinated our participation, selected the poems, nominated the winners from the United Arab Emirates, and prepared the cultural materials about the UAE for the World Poets magazine.
With his support, I translated three poems and the articles dedicated to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the inspiring figure for the Poets of the Silk Road. I was profoundly moved by His Highness’s poetry, As he wrote in 'I Hear the Echo of Your Voice': And I go astray in a desert with no destination, And I go astray in a world mysterious，and for that reason, I hope to translate his complete collection Poems from the Desert into Chinese.
Today's world is a globalized world, and Arab civilization originated from the ancient Babylonian civilization. There were once seven major civilizations on the Eurasian continent, from Babylon, westward to Canaan, Egypt, Greece, eastward to Persia, India, and China. We must break out of our own civilization and integrate into a new world civilization. Today under the Burj, the tallest building in the world, the modern Tower of Babel, we should believe that humanity originated from the same place and will inevitably move towards the same place.
At the meeting, outstanding poets from five continents were awarded the Poet Laureate Award, Golden Camel Award, Silver Camel Award, Poetry Film Award, Poetry Collection Award, Translation Award, Asian Poet of the Year Award, European Poet of the Year Award, African Poet of the Year Award, American Poet of the Year Award, Oceania Poet of the Year Award and other poetry awards. Poets and artists also presented books and calligraphy, painting, photography and other works to the Dubai Mohammed Bin Rashid Library.
New Zealand poet Pei Yingjin, who won the Golden Camel Award this year, delivered a speech on behalf of all the award-winning poets: It is a great honor to stand on the podium. This award is not only for me personally, but also for those who silently cultivate and love poetry. They contribute to poetry and are willing to do a lot of work both on and off stage to promote it. The Silk Road began in the Han Dynasty of China, stretching from land to sea and then to the grasslands, where the country prospered. People exchange not only goods, but also cultural customs, understanding, and integration. Today, we must uphold the spirit of the ancient Silk Road, make friends through literature, promote global unity, and maintain peace. Today we gather in the dazzling Dubai, and next year we gather in another shining city on the Silk Road!
At the Chinese Book Corner of the Mohammed bin Rashid Library, everyone was pleasantly surprised to discover the "Silk Road Far Away" series donated by Chinese poets during this poetry festival, as well as over a hundred poetry collections, novels, and more.
At the meeting, Vadim Terekhin, Chairman of the BRICS Writers Association, presented the BRICS Creator Order to Cao Shui, while Adel Khozam presented the Outstanding Contribution Award for Spreading World Silk Road Culture to Wang Fangwen on behalf of the United Nations World Silk Road Forum. Cao Shui and Wang Fangwen presented the Great Poetry Movement Medal to Vadim Terekhin.
The conference is supported and guided by the United Nations World Silk Road Forum, jointly organized by the International Poetry Committee of the United Nations World Silk Road Forum and the International Poets of the Silk Road, and co hosted by organizations such as the BRICS Writers Association, the Great Poetry Movement, and the World Poets magazine.
The most influential newspapers in the United Arab Emirates, such as The Union Newspaper, Dubai Newspaper, and Gulf Newspaper, have been reported by dozens of media outlets including China, Egypt, Lebanon, the European Union, and the United States.Dubai media also conducted special interviews with Honorary Chairman Adel Khozam, Chairman Ms. Wang Fangwen, and Executive Chairman Cao Shui.
